"I had the fortune to be born in the Lapus County, where hora has been heard since the dawn of time, where you can still hear it when you least expect it, sung in the back of the throat, with surprising turns and unnatural breaks, sung for soothing the heart, in the most ancient style that we know. I had the fortune to grow with my people's music, to listen along, and later on - to sing hora myself, to identify with it and never abandon it, despite some people used to laugh when hearing it's strange, harsh and old melodic lines.
